In Australia, it's estimated that 45 per cent of people will experience a mental health condition in their lifetime. In any one year, around 1 million Australian adults have depression, and over 2 million have anxiety (BeyondBlue).
This webinar will serve to provide information and education about depression & anxiety, in recognition of the fact that these are commonly thought of as the most prevalent mental health conditions in Australia today. The session will serve to break down misconceptions and stigma, and introduce practical ways to support those who struggle with these diagnoses. This session is a ‘must’ for anyone managing or leading teams, and is beneficial for everyone interested in understanding more about mental health and ill health.
By the end of this workshop, participants will have the knowledge & skills to:
- Understand what is and is not depression
- Understand anxiety and how anxiety may present
- Develop awareness of factors which may impact individuals with depression/anxiety
- Develop knowledge of ways to support individuals dealing with anxiety & depression
