Assessment quality is certainly a hot-button compliance topic at present. Recent strategic reviews conducted by the national regulator have raised questions about the appropriateness and sufficiency of assessment practices within the sector. Therefore, it is important for an RTO to understand the capacity of the assessment tools they use and be able adapt these to meet the requirements of the relevant training package, the expectations of industry and the guidelines from the regulator. This will not only help to build confidence in the quality of assessment but will ensure consistency of performance. This webinar seeks to help assessment developers to create robust assessment tools that support the collection of quality evidence and confirm that an individual can perform to the standards expected in the workplace or expressed in a relevant VET product.
By the end of this workshop, participants will have the knowledge & skills to:
- Understand the requirements for RTOs when using assessment tools
- Identify the characteristics of best-practice assessment tool design
- Create templates and other documents to ensure ongoing compliance and functionality of assessments.
